OK, my people, I'm back from the US and straight back into things in the UK. I'm ecstatic because one of my poems, Time, Truth & John Lennon, is turning out to be one of the most downloaded poetry tracks on the internet, and Tell Tales, the project I work on with Courttia Newland is just about to release its next short story anthology... but most of all I'm ecstatic 'cos I'm still being booked even though I'm kinda taking a break from performing! The African Writers' Evening hosts another quality evening of literature with a focus on North African writing. Featured are Hisham Matar (Libya), and Gamal Hassan (Egypt), who will both be reading short fiction and responding to questions from the audience. As usual there will be poets and writers from all over Africa - including Leeto Thale (SA), and Inua Ellams (Nigeria) - sharing poetry on the open mike
